BIOGRAPHY
W. Earl Brown is an American actor, producer and musician, born on September 7, 1963, in Golden Pond, Kentucky. In his childhood, he never adapted to the family tradition of agricultural life, but, instead, he became fascinated with theater, a tradition that his grandparents implemented on their porch of his house. In high school he learned the value of hard work, sacrifice and a competitive spirit, which eventually led him to be the first member of his family to go to college, where, during his time at Murray State University, he took a acting class on a whim and discovered it as his true calling. Graduated from DePaul University Theater School in 1989, Brown was one of the most notable members of the Steppenwolf theater company, particularly for his work in Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridgek . With a long and respected career on stage, Earl made the leap to film and television in 1991 and since then has remained active in both media, collecting just over 130 credits in his career, including films such as The Plainsman Solitary (2013), Criminal Pact (2015), The Highwaymen (2019) and series such as True Detective (2015), Preacher (2016-2017) and Reprisal (2019), among others.
