Chris Rock filmed his new Netflix special, Selective Outrage, in Baltimore, but apparently the location was not chosen at random, as it is the birthplace of Jada Pinkett, wife of Will Smith, who slapped the comedian at the Oscar ceremony for pranking her.
For fans this did not go unnoticed, many criticized Rock for choosing this place, they know he did it on purpose to send a message to Pinkett and Smith.
"Chris Rock is doing his live special in Jada's hometown... he's going for blood tonight'.
'It felt like Chris Rock did his show in Baltimore just to be able to close on Jada Pinkett Smith in her hometown. And boy did he go hard on Will & Jada at the end. Amazing!', commented some of the users on twitter.
Chris Rock joked about Will Smith's punch up.
In his comedy routine, Chris Rock opened with a reference to the slap he received from Will Smith after pranking Jada Pinkett.
"I'm going to try to do a show tonight without offending anybody. I'm going to try my best, because you never know who you might provoke," Rock said as he opened his show from Baltimore. "People always say words hurt..... anybody who says words hurt has never been punched in the face."
"Everybody knows what happened to me, getting slapped in the face by Suge Smith," Rock said. "It still hurts. I've got 'Summertime' ringing in my ears. But I'm not a victim, honey. You'll never see me on Oprah or Gayle crying..... I took that punch like Pacquiao."
"I love Will Smith, all my life," Rock said. "I've been rooting for Will Smith all my life...now I watch 'Emancipation' just to see him get his ass kicked."
